Inclusion and exclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria
- Seen in the emergency department
- ≥ 18 years
- Non-traumatic acute abdominal pain, onset < 7 days
- Speaks Danish/English and can give consent
Exclusion criteria
- Previously included in the trial
- Known cause of pain
- Exacerbation of chronic abdominal pain
- Already seen by a physician during this visit
- Prior assessment at the emergency room/ultrasound/CT abdomen for the same symptoms within 7 days
- Need for ICU admission or a medical/surgical emergency call
Include the patient if ALL inclusion criteria = YES and ALL exclusion criteria = NO.
